Well Heeled  
Well Heeled will perform the energetic Appalachian style, which is based on traditional British step dancing with influences from Negro and Cherokee Indian dances.

Hora Sheffield
Lead by Greg Boyt, this Sheffield based group will perform dances from all over the world, but specializing in Eastern European styles,  and dancing without partners.

Michael and Jacky’s Dance Centre

Mulembas d’Africa
Release the energy, expand the soul, and embrace the roots.  Angelina and her dancers from Sheffield, will demonstrate Kuduro (Angolan dance) and an African fusion style of dance.  This rhythmic style of dance will have you tapping your feet, and bring a smile to your face.

Akhawaat Al Maryam
Be transformed to a mystical  time, and enjoy the exotic costumes and beautiful flowing movements of belly dancing. Three of our local groups, from Wensley, Somercotes and Buxton will be combining forces for this special occasion.

The Millerettes
Are made up of dancers from the June Fletcher Academy in Sheffield and are the cheerleaders for Rotherham Football Club.

Amigos de la Rueda

Local Schools
Children from Bakewell Infant School will perform a dance they have been working on in their After School Dance Club, run by Georgina Moseley. They will be followed by Taddington School who will perform a traditional Maypole dance.

Shakti Arts
Is an energetic, diverse, female dance group from Derby. Our main aim is to teach, promote and deliver various dance styles: Bollywood, Folk; Bhangra, Ghoomar, Garba/Dandia, Semi-Classical and Western Fusion.  The group are becoming increasingly well-known and have performed abroad.

The Dance Academy

Pecsaetan
Are a women's Cotswold Morris team from Sheffield who have been dancing since 2002. They perform dances from the traditions of Bucknell, Bledington, Fieldtown and Ilmington and enjoy taking part in festivals and dance events throughout the country and abroad.

The Six Jolly Miners
Are a new sword dancing team formed in 2009. Their dance is a tribute to the miners who have lost their lives in mining disasters, focussing on the disaster that happened at the local Newton Chambers colliery in Chapeltown in 1862, where 6 miners lost their lives.

La Valcissienne 
A welcome return to our French dancers from Onzain, a small semi- rural  town in the Loire valley, which is twinned with Darley Dale.  The 15-strong (including 3 musicians) group dance traditional French country dances.

Nycha Dance Creations
Will be bringing two street dance groups, DMX and Reflex. They are a company that is passionate about creativity through dance seeking to always provide exciting and challenging works for anyone who comes to use their services.

Black Pig Border Morris 
Known and loved by Bakewell, this will be Black Pig’s ninth time to the Day of Dance.  Named after the ship of the infamous  pirated Captain Pugwash.  Black Pig meets in Eastwood, on the Nottingham, Derbyshire border. www.blackpigborder.co.uk
