Workshops in the Town Hall
These hour long workshops at the Town Hall are aimed at beginners, no need to bring a partner, just turn up and enjoy. £5 per workshop.
11.30 – 12.30 Traditional French Dance with Mike and Heidi
Enjoy some traditional French dancing. There are many simple dances that can be picked up easily. Join Mike and Heidi for a relaxed session and find out how easy it is. Then join in with the outdoor session later in the day. No partner or experience needed.
12.45 – 1.45 Dance Around the World with Nisha Lall, Aim to Dance
Join experienced dance teacher Nisha Lall who will give you a taste of Indian, Arabic and Latin. This class will definitely be fun and equip you well to join in with many of the dance styles on offer throughout the day. Just bring your smile, your enthusiasm and your dancing feet along.
2.00 – 3.00 Argentinian Tango with Tango in the Peaks
A fantastic opportunity to learn some basic tango moves from two beautiful dancers, Lucas, from Argentina and Melanie his partner. Their enjoyable teaching style and passion for this dance will make you fall instantly in love with this elegant dance. Join them later for their mini performance outdoors and another opportunity to put your new moves to the test on the dance floor. No partner needed.
